Policies

All appointments are for 1 hour (less a few minutes for cleaning and preparing for the next patient). Initial treatments may take slightly longer than an hour, especially if new patients are unable to fill out registration paperwork in advance, which may take up to 20 minutes of the first visit. Single-sided treatments can take as little as 35 minutes. Double side-treatments typically take 45-55 minutes. Please be on time, especially if you are coming in for a double-sided treatment.

I have had some problems with patients not arriving for appointments. While I understand that life can get unpredictable, that time slot when one patient did not come was a missed opportunity for another patient to get treatment, and also missed income for my clinic. Starting January 1, 2026, I will be charging a $20 fee for: missed appointments, last minute cancellations or rescheduling (less than 24 hours notice), or arriving late enough that treatment is no longer possible.

If you are ill, please contact me to cancel or reschedule at no cost.

In case of inclement weather or other emergency, please call or text to discuss options for rescheduling or canceling your appointment.

I do everything in my power to stay on time, but occasionally, something unusual happens, and a patient needs a little more time. (e.g. feeling faint after treatment, or having trouble getting dressed due to mobility issues.) Please understand that I will get back on schedule as soon as possible.

During your visit, if you could please minimize allergens that you carry in on your person, that would be most helpful.  A fresh change of clothes is sufficient to minimize dog and cat dander.  If you could refrain from using perfumes, colognes or essential oils prior to coming, that would be most appreciated. Some of these allergens can cause me enough discomfort that it would affect my ability to work.

I do not do house calls.

Refunds will be made back to the original form of payment (credit card, cash, electronic payment). Checks will be returned (if not yet deposited), but refunds for deposited checks will take 90 days to process to reduce the risk of check fraud.
